MARITIME DISASTERS AND MARINE POLLUTION LECTURE.

On  Thursday 19th of April, 20012, we were privileged to have a renowned expert, Mr Jae Sundaram, Dean of Law, University of Buckingham speak to us on an area of Law where political, commercial and media interest is rapidly increasing.

Mr Sundaram gave an enlightening lecture that highlighted Maritime disasters which spread out into the Oil and Gas sector with emphasis on Oil spillage.
It was amazing to know that at least one ship on the average sinks every week. This kind of disaster wrecks havoc on the environment, marine/ aquatic life if that ship happens to be an Oil Carrier or Petroleum Merchant Ship.

A lot of legal issues too! Fascinating, eye-opening, food for thought...

Me! Up in the House of Lords. :D

OIL & GAS GUEST LECTURE.

Hello peeps,

I've decided that since the next couple of months will be dedicated to academics, I might as well let y'all know what new things I'm experiencing in my chosen career path. Yep! Trying to bag an LLM with specialialsation in International Oil and Gas Policy. Believe me, it's not as glamorous as it sounds!

The more I thought about it, the more it kinda made sense. I'm not neglecting my blog and y'all can know what I'm up to when I'm not blogging fashion or parties or my random thoughts. Hnmm... The more I think about it, the more I like it!

Anyhoo, today, we had a renowned International Oil & Gas expert in the person of Carlos Bellorin come in to speak to us on the vibrant oil and gas industry in Latin America.
Carlos Bellorin is a Senior Oil & Gas Legal Analyst at IHS  within PEPS (Petroleum Economics and Policy Solutions) based in London. He specialises in upstream oil and gas legal, contractual and fiscal regimes in several jurisdictions. He has also been the external adviser for oil and gas companies and in-house legal counsel for two major Orinoco's Oil Belt Projects in Venezuela.

He is also a prolific speaker and has delivered lectures on Oil and Gas Law Policy at the University of Dundee, University of Birmingham, Cardiff University and the University of Buckingham.

Light refreshment before the lecture begins.

H&M's MEN SPRING COLLECTION.

You'all know that one of the things that gives me pleasure is a well dressed man... I can't explain it!
I'm however not a big fan of the pastel fashion trend. I like my colors loud and vibrant, screaming "Look at me!"

I stumbled on H&M's Men Spring collection and I'm having a rethink.
Clean, simple and urbane is one of the ways to describe H&M's Men Spring collection featuring a pastel palette.

A white shirt is a must have for any man.

Keeping it  clean but urbane.

Dapper!

An epaulette shirt is a fashion must have for every man... or woman. Can be dressed up or down.
Brilliant mix of pastels.

I  am seriously considering a foray into the fashion la-land of pale pinks, greens and blues. Gorgeous!

BIRTHDAY DINNER AT ZEN GARDEN.

Hey lovely people... I know, I know...I've been missing in action... again. *sad face* All I can say is this LLM thingie has been a female dog, I tell you!

It's been study, classes, seminars, presentations and I've actually forgotten how to play...:) Me! When did life get so serious...? Lol!

Anyhoo, this past Saturday was a friend's birthday and we had a surprise buffet get-together planned out for her. I grabbed the opportunity to get all dolled up and hop out of this blinking village... Yep, I'm actually holed up in one of the villages in England and there is no activity here whatsoever. Hah!

My friends all looked fabulous, so fabulous that an lovely Asian woman followed us on our way out of the restaurant to ask us if we were all models! Fancy that! Next thing you know, we'll be signing autographs! LMAO!

Susan (the Birthday girl) was so, so happy and that made us all very happy. Kudos to you all for keeping the secret. Lord knows it was not easy. At a point, I felt Susan must have smelt a rat! Lol!

In all, not a bad outing.

Enjoy...
